A few weeks back I watched You’re Beautiful for the first time. Without much effort, it fell into place as one of my favorite dramas to date. And, as you know, I’m quite the fangirl. This is pretty huge.
So, how does a fangirl deal with all of this affection? Where does she aim the adoration and love once she has no more episodes at which she can wibble excitedly? Does watch another drama? Does she move on with her life?
No. She buys a 돼지토끼/pig-rabbit!
I ordered this mid-August and received it in about two weeks. It came on the last mailing day before I had to ship myself back to my college home for the semester, so it had perfect timing. Every time I look at it I can’t help but regret spending so much money on it…
JUST KIDDING! It’s the opposite, actually. I don’t regret spending a penny on it. It’s pretty much how it looks in the pictures; plush, slightly imperfect (for instance, the bow-tie can be removed, but the velcro must be sandwiched together so it sticks out in the back), and completely adorable. It’s nice because I can remember how much I love the show when I see it. I don’t exactly think about Go Mi-nam/Mi-nyeo or Hwang Tae-kyung when I look at Pig-Rabbit, but more… I think of all the good feelings I felt while I was watching it. It’s warm and fuzzy in all the right ways.
I just thought I’d share my purchase with you and tell you all how much I love it. Heck, I could have put this money toward buying an iPhone 4! I’m still suffering through a two year old phone that freezes all the time. This is fandom commitment, people! I know some might think it’s silly, but I’m the kind of person who likes making “frivolous” purchases occasionally. I don’t like being utilitarian all the time.
Have you ever made a fandom buy like this? Do you regret it or are you a satisfied customer (like me)?
