Teen Top is pretty good
Posted under: I know a lot of people are Teen Top fans, but I kind of overlooked them when they debuted. To me, they were just another group of young guys that fell off my radar for whatever reason. Teen Top recently came out with “Supa Luv,” and their video features Shinhwa’s Eric. I saw the video online and almost skipped over it, but I’m all for giving chances.
SO, here’s what I think. We need to get the worst out of the way. THE STYLING IS ATROCIOUS. I’m sorry if you like it or think it’s clever or something–fine. But man, way to make normal guys look ridic. All I kept thinking was, “THANK GOODNESS FOR ERIC FROM SAVING ME FROM BADLY STYLED MINORS!” LOL (and yes, I’ve done my research; C.A.P is 18, but at this point that’s still pretty young to me).
That being said, I enjoyed the rest of it. The song is really catchy and fun, and I think the choreography matches it nicely. It’s interesting and I like it. The video was confusing, but I didn’t feel like tuning out at all. Really though, does anyone know what the heck the story line was supposed to be? It seemed like a lot of dancing, with random snippets of suspicious techology-based movements and gratuitous shots of Eric being handsome. WHATEVS! I accept it.
Even the style concept isn’t that bad. I’ve seen worse, and at least they stand out. I guess I’m always a bit peeved when a group shows up with a weird look that probably exists for the sake of looking weird.
Anyway, my interest for Teen Top has been piqued. I really have never thought, “Oh, those guys must suck,” or anything along those lines, but some groups just don’t catch my interest at first. “Supa Luv” has me reconsidering.

Yeah, I would say the song is pretty good actually. Very catchy but even though I’m a noona to three of the members and know their ages, I don’t see my self liking them at all really.
